Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) position requiring at least one year of recent CVOR experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Main Operating Room with a focus on cardiovascular surgical cases
• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
• 13-week assignment term
• Uses Meditech for electronic medical records
• Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rates with no mileage restrictions
• Primary responsibility is to provide nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Completion of a virtual orientation with competency modules is required
• Upon accepting the offer, a cardiac exam must be completed within 48 hours
• Internal compliance must be met before the start date
• Timekeeping is managed using Centricity

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license with no past or current disciplinary actions
• Minimum of two years RN experience, including one year of recent CVOR experience
• No pending or temporary licenses accepted
• Required to provide references within the past year
• Current driver’s license required for consideration
