Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a seasoned RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in the Intermediate Care Unit with recent IMCU experience and required TX or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) of a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patient population consists of intermediate or step-down level care
• Provide monitoring and care to patients requiring intermediate acuity support
• Night shift team environment with collaboration among nurses and ancillary staff
• Must comply with facility health and orientation requirements
• No local candidates will be considered
• Certifications must be valid and cannot expire within the first 30 days of assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state required
• At least 1 year of recent experience in intermediate care, step-down, or similar IMCU specialty required
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Valid US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional reference required according to state-specific guidelines (one for Texas applicants)
