Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Rehabilitation Unit position requiring a KY or compact RN license and recent acute rehab or med-surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Rehabilitation Unit of an inpatient hospital setting
• Care for med-surg and rehabilitation patient populations
• Patient ratios are typically 1:5 to 1:6
• Utilizes Meditech EMR system
• Day shift schedule from 07:00 to 19:30 with a 36/48 hour weekly rotation
• Bi-weekly orientation is provided
• Floating required during periods of low census
• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care to rehabilitation and med-surg patients
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• First-time travelers may apply if meeting experience requirements
• Team receives bi-weekly orientation for onboarding
• Travel pairs are not allowed unless otherwise specified by the unit

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1-2 years recent experience in acute rehab or med-surg
• Current BLS (AHA only), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
