Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a hospital-based telemetry unit requiring ACLS, BLS, and strong cardiac monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a combined 68-bed adult Medical-Surgical/Sub-Specialty Telemetry unit
• Care for patients with complex medical needs, including ventilator management, continuous BiPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring
• Patients include those undergoing pre/post cardiac interventions
• Day shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within skillset required
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates within 60 miles are accepted as locals
• Team provides care for complex adult medical-surgical and cardiac patients
• Expect to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Every other weekend coverage is required for the role

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• At least 2 years of recent MS/Tele, Telemetry, or Cardiac Tele experience required
• 12-lead EKG experience required
• Ventilator management experience required
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Previous charge experience preferred
