Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position with higher patient ratios and oncology experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on oncology patients
• Patient ratios are 1:6 or 1:7 requiring experience with higher ratios
• 12-hour night shifts (19:00–07:00) with block scheduling considered
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment with potential for extension
• EMRs used are Cerner and Soarian
• 3x12 schedule preferred, but 4x12s will be considered
• Royal blue scrubs are required and must be provided by the nurse
• Minimal to no requested time off permitted
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Candidates must live more than 30 miles from the facility; local pay differentiates for those within 31-50 miles
• Copy of driver's license and social security number required
• Block scheduling may be considered based on unit needs

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum one year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry and IV start required
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• Experience working with higher patient ratios required
