Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics experience along with EPIC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital operating room setting
• Mix of surgeries including neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics cases
• Schedule options include four 10-hour shifts (0700-1730) or three 12-hour shifts (0700-1930)
• 1-2 weeknight call shifts required, with call starting after shift until 0700 the next morning
• Two weekend call shifts every six weeks; no scheduled weekend shifts, call only
• Holiday coverage via call shifts as needed by department
• 30-minute callback response required
• EPIC charting system is used and experience is required
• Responsibilities include intraoperative care for a variety of complex surgical cases
• Must be able to care for COVID patients as assigned
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Pre-employment modules to be completed before start date
• Manager conducts interviews after initial clinical screening

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license with a clear record
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR RN experience with neuro, trauma, ortho, and robotics cases
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• Demonstrated EPIC EMR experience
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Must provide two professional supervisory references from the past two years
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) allowed
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away to qualify for traveler pay rates
