Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with a ME or compact license for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) position requiring strong communication and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) in a hospital setting
  • Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • 13-week assignment
  • Every other weekend availability may be required
  • Fifty-mile radius rule applies to candidate eligibility
  • Provide direct patient care under supervision of Clinical Leader or Charge Nurse
  • Must be flexible with hours as needed
  • May only work two consecutive 13-week assignments per calendar year at the facility, with a required 26-week break before returning
  • Required to work recognized facility holidays as needed: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
  • First-time travelers are eligible to apply

Requirements

  • Active Maine or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong team player with effective communication and multi-tasking skills
