Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Emergency Department days position requiring a CO or compact license and strong Med/Surg and spine/ortho post-op experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined Med/Surg and Emergency Department setting at a critical access hospital
• Day shift schedule
• Patient ratio is 1 to 5
• Care for adult and pediatric med-surg patients, including spine and ortho post-op cases
• May provide emergency, acute care, and floor nursing as needed
• Holiday coverage is required with no holiday requests off permitted
• Possibility of sharing a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment; pets and smoking are not allowed
• Housing rent will be paid for qualified travelers

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted Colorado or compact RN license required
• Minimum 4 years of RN experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS, TNCC
• Experience with spine/ortho post-op patients required, with an emphasis on Med/Surg
• COVID vaccination required by state mandate
• Permanent address must be at least 65 miles from the facility; local travelers will not be considered
