Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior specialty experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit
- Handle patient diagnoses including CVA, cancer, infections, and dialysis cases
- Patient ratios are 1:4 for holding and 1:1 during procedures
- Perform procedures such as TIPs, Y-90, ports, grafts, PICCs, stroke thrombectomy, UAE, and biopsies
- Day shifts are four 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30
- On-call every 4–5 weekends (Friday to Sunday) and one weekday per week
- On-call required for 24 hours during holidays
- Charting is done using Cerner EMR
- No floating to other units is required
- Primary responsibilities include assisting with interventional procedures and providing patient care specific to IR
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Candidates living within a 50-mile radius will be considered local and subject to a different rate
- On-site training and orientation are provided as needed
Requirements
- Active PA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with circulating and conscious sedation required
- Telemetry, ventilator, and Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Two professional supervisory references from the past 2 years required
