Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring a PA or compact RN license and prior specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit
• Handle patient diagnoses including CVA, cancer, infections, and dialysis cases
• Patient ratios are 1:4 for holding and 1:1 during procedures
• Perform procedures such as TIPs, Y-90, ports, grafts, PICCs, stroke thrombectomy, UAE, and biopsies
• Day shifts are four 10-hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:30
• On-call every 4–5 weekends (Friday to Sunday) and one weekday per week
• On-call required for 24 hours during holidays
• Charting is done using Cerner EMR
• No floating to other units is required
• Primary responsibilities include assisting with interventional procedures and providing patient care specific to IR
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates living within a 50-mile radius will be considered local and subject to a different rate
• On-site training and orientation are provided as needed

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with circulating and conscious sedation required
• Telemetry, ventilator, and Level I Trauma experience preferred
• Two professional supervisory references from the past 2 years required
