Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with at least 18 months of recent permanent experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:00
• Patient population includes adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Use of telemetry monitoring equipment
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment required during orientation
• Must work every other holiday as scheduled
• Extensions up to 18 months allowed, with a 6-month break required before returning for another assignment
• Negative 10-panel and nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start
• Badging and onsite fingerprinting must be completed at the facility prior to start
• PAPRs not permitted for caregivers with facial hair unless a valid exemption is provided
• Two attempts maximum to pass required assessments during orientation
• Permanent and per diem staff must wait 1 year before returning for a new assignment
• Annual facility-specific training modules are required

Requirements

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be active
• At least one recent reference from a supervisory role in Med/Surg Telemetry required
• Candidates must not have open background check cases or license issues
