Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring a TX or compact RN license and a minimum of two years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 4x12 hours per week from 19:00 to 07:00
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• 36 or 48 hour work weeks available
• Altera charting system used; experience is preferred but not required
• Mandatory onsite drug screen upon arrival; any positive result, including marijuana and CBD, will result in cancellation
• All required onboarding modules are completed during orientation and take approximately 6-8 hours
• Travel experience is preferred but not required
• Clinicians must be available and responsive for rapid completion of pre-employment labs
• Modules are non-billable and included as part of the onboarding process

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Previous permanent staff must be gone for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Must live at least 150 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
• References from two supervisors within the past 3 years required
• Must complete labs within 72 hours of offer acceptance or have a plan for completion
