Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Texas requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least two years of recent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Day shift, four 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 to 19:00)
• 13-week assignment
• Patient care for a general med/surg population
• Altera EMR is used; experience preferred but not required
• Must complete mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana; any positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Clinician must avoid any substances, such as CBD products, that could affect drug screen results
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at the facility within the past year to be eligible
• Must be available to complete modules averaging 6-8 hours during orientation
• Travel nursing experience is preferred
• Local candidates within 150 miles are not accepted

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of two years’ recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing required
• Current BLS certification required
• Resume and certification verification required for consideration
• Two supervisory references from the past three years required
• Ability to complete necessary lab work within 72 hours of accepting offer or have a completion plan
