Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg position in Illinois requiring EPIC and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit with a respiratory focus
• Patient care provided on the 7C Med Resp unit
• Night shift schedule is 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Uses EPIC EMR system, EPIC experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius accepted
• Responsible for assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care using current nursing trends and technology
• Maintains accurate unit documentation to support integrated care
• Expected to participate in unit safety, development, and team communication
• Return to this health system after 1 year requires a 6-month break upon reaching 1 year of continuous assignment
• Requested time off may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Travel partner placements are not accepted
• Candidates should report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or temporary permit required
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum one year of recent relevant nursing experience required, three years preferred
• Associate degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
