Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med-Surg Float Pool weekend track position in New York requiring a current NY RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med-Surg Float Pool within a hospital central staffing office
• Day shift position with hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend track assignment with 13-week contract length
• Floating as needed within Med-Surg departments
• Epic EMR system is used and experience is required
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Competency testing is required for applicants with less than 2 years of Med-Surg experience, with two attempts to pass
• Frequent call-outs may result in contract termination and make-up shifts must be completed within six weeks
• Requested time off (RTO) must be included with your application
• Scrub and dress code details will be provided upon assignment
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• Candidates may only be considered for one travel position at this facility at a time

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience required
• Certifications from AHA or RQI are required
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Medical flu exemption only; religious or personal declinations not accepted
• Applicants may not reside in specific counties within a 50-mile radius including Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
