Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 26-week position in a skilled nursing and inpatient setting, requiring BLS and Hawaii licensure.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) and inpatient setting, with some outpatient responsibilities
• Work schedule is a 5-day work week with possible 1 weekend day, providing variable coverage between Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday
• Department provides coverage 7 days per week; candidate must be able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Uses Meditech for electronic medical records
• Primary responsibilities include diagnostic assessment, preparing and implementing treatment plans, and providing therapy across the full range of cases for adult patients
• Role may involve providing all therapy services for a unit, center, or facility as needed
• Must arrive at the designated facility the Friday before assignment start for employee health and HR clearance appointments
• All compliance documentation must be completed and uploaded at least one week before the start date
• Candidate should be available for shifts as scheduled due to the 24/7 nature of services
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on hospital operations

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• Must have or obtain Hawaii Physical Therapy license by assignment start date (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 6 months of work experience in at least one setting with adults: acute, SNF, rehabilitation hospital, or outpatient
• Must bring required licensure to employee health and HR clearance appointment
