Job Description

American Traveler seeks a Physical Therapist with recent acute care experience for a 7-on/7-off day shift position in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care, Level III trauma center
• Assigned primarily to the acute care PT department
• Expected to float between units and all facilities within the state as needed
• Care for a daily caseload of 10-12 patients
• Patient population involves a variety of acute medical and post-surgical cases
• Schedule is seven 10-hour day shifts on, followed by seven days off; weekends are required
• Block scheduling is utilized for this position
• Epic is used for electronic documentation
• Former perm staff must have at least a 3-month gap before returning as a traveler
• Candidates must not live within 50 miles of the facility
• All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state as operationally needed
• Minimal to no RTO is permitted; extensive RTO may hinder job consideration
• Scrub attire is flexible with any color permitted
• No on-call required for this position
• First-time travelers are accepted if they meet the experience requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care physical therapy experience required
• IPR experience is beneficial
• Active PT license required if applicable
• Current certifications must be provided for consideration
• Supervisory references covering at least 1 year of comparable employment within the last 3 years are required
• Experience with Epic EMR is required
• SSN and DOB must be provided for consideration
