Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a TX or compact RN license and specialized certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:00am
• 13-week assignment duration
• Direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Provide emergency care and rapid assessment of patients of all ages
• Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to stabilize and treat critical conditions
• US Social Security Number and date of birth are required for consideration
• Professional references may be required depending on state
• First time travelers will be considered if minimum requirements are met

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• At least 1 year of recent ED nursing experience required
• AHA or ARC certifications required with no certification expiring within the first 30 days of assignment
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or equivalent (SAMA, MAB, ACPMA) certification required for ED
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
