Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a dayshift position requiring Illinois licensure, Epic, and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the ICU of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00am to 7:30pm, three days per week
• Cares for critically ill adult patients in an intensive care environment
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• No local candidates are accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Assume responsibility for a designated group of ICU patients using a nursing process approach
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for ICU patients
• Complete thorough documentation to support collaborative care
• Required to maintain up-to-date departmental competencies
• Must not have continuously worked at this health system for more than one year; a six-month break is required before returning
• Requested RTO must not exceed seven days total per 13-week contract
• No travel partners are permitted

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary licenses are accepted
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum of one year ICU nursing experience required, with three years strongly preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Proven experience in a Level 1 Trauma environment required
• Epic charting experience required
