Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Critical Care (CVCC) position requiring recent trauma experience and advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit within a hospital setting
• Responsible for care of critically ill cardiovascular patients including post-surgical cases
• Advanced monitoring such as arterial lines, PA lines, and waveform interpretation required
• Care for ventilated patients and manage lines, tubes, and drains
• Rotating day and night shifts required
• Option for either 36 or 48 hours per week for the initial contract
• No on-call requirement specified
• No local candidates; must live more than 75 miles from the facility
• Assist in insertion and maintenance of lines, tubes, drains, and perform advanced monitoring for post-surgical cardiovascular patients
• Work with ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVD
• Will participate in a multidisciplinary team environment within a trauma setting

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required and must remain active during the entire assignment
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the past 2 years required
• Must have arterial line experience
• Experience with critical care, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilated patient care required
• Experience with ICP monitoring, pressors, inotropes, vasoactive medications, and line insertion preferred
