Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Interventional Technologist for a trauma level 1 interventional radiology department; 3+ years IR and Cath Lab experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in an interventional radiology department within a trauma level 1 setting
• Primary duties include performing invasive diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures under physician direction
• The caseload includes adult patients requiring advanced IR procedures
• Expected to float to sister hospital as needed
• Schedule is five 8-hour day shifts per week, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Uses PACS and Radiology Information System (RIS) for imaging and case management
• Duties include patient assessment, preparing and administering contrast media and medications, setting up and operating specialized equipment, and assisting physicians with complex invasive procedures
• Ensures readiness and restocking of supplies and sterile instruments
• Must use independent judgment in imaging technique selection and patient safety practices
• Responsible for quality assurance procedures and timely completion of all required documentation in PACS and RIS
• May assist with onboarding and training new staff or students
• COVID-19 vaccine is mandatory for employment
• Online modules must be completed onsite and passed prior to assignment start
• Compliance with dress code and other hospital policies is required

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience as an Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab Technologist
• Experience in a trauma level 1 facility required
• Active BLS (AHA) and ARRT certifications required
• Current advanced ARRT registry in Cardiac-Interventional (CI), Vascular-Interventional (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional (CV) required
• Active MI license required for consideration; license required if applicable
• High school diploma or GED required
• Continued medical education hours must be maintained as required
