Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring critical care or emergency experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Position is in the Interventional Radiology department of a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center
Supports all radiology areas including CT, MRI, Cardiac MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, GIGU, and X-Ray
Patient population includes inpatients, outpatients, and trauma cases with 40-55 procedure cases per day
Work schedule is 10-hour day shifts starting at 7:30am on weekdays
Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts are assigned as needed to support the department
No floating required
Uses EPIC Radiant EMR system
Main responsibilities include nursing care for interventional radiology procedures and nurse sedation cases in collaboration with radiologists and radiology technicians
Work as part of a supportive, team-oriented department culture
Orientation includes NEO and two days of departmental training
Scrubs are hospital issued
Free employee parking is provided
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Approval is required for requested time off

Requirements

Active NC or compact RN license required
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
A minimum of 12 months' experience in critical care or emergency setting is required, with recent experience within the last year
Experience with moderate sedation, acute, and emergent skills required
Experience using EPIC EMR is preferred
