Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with scrub and circulating experience across multiple surgical specialties and a current MA RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Involves circulating and scrubbing in specialties including transplant, liver and kidney, endoscopy, vascular, neuro, trauma, MVA, and pediatric cases
• Requires experience with emergencies such as gunshot and stabbing cases
• Candidate circulates cases in hearts, general surgery, pediatric, and microsurgery
• Shifts are a combination of 8 and 12-hour days (typically 12:45pm to 9:15pm or 8:45am to 9:15pm)
• Call rotation includes one night on-call every third weekend
• Will be handling a diverse caseload with high-acuity and emergency cases
• Weekend and evening coverage required according to call rotation schedule
• Position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Significant operating room (OR) experience including both scrub and circulating roles
• Proven competency in a wide range of surgical specialties such as transplant, vascular, neuro, and trauma
• Ability to pass a required EKG test
• Two professional references required, at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Candidates must not have any adverse findings or priors on their nursing license
• Must be located at least 200 miles from the facility
