Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Oncology position requiring an active LA or compact license and ONS chemo certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Oncology unit specializing in med/surg oncology care
• Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6
• Will perform procedures including bone marrow biopsy, central line management, and blood/bone marrow transplants
• Required to float within the MS Oncology and other Med/Surg units
• Uses EPIC EMR system and previous experience is required
• Weekend and holiday shifts required based on unit needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Primary responsibilities include managing oncology patients and performing specialized oncology procedures
• Must avoid requesting time off between 2/13 and 2/22 due to Mardi Gras staffing needs
• A 75 mile radius rule applies for eligibility
• Former permanent employees at any related facility must have a one-year separation before being considered for travel roles
• Holiday coverage is required as part of the expectation for this position

Requirements

• Active LA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of oncology experience required
• ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy course certification required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and ONS
• CPI certification preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
