Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric echocardiography experience and call coverage background.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a short-term acute care setting within a pediatric echo department
- Pediatric patient population with a 1:1 tech to patient ratio
- Procedures involve pediatric echocardiography
- Shift is day (4x10 hours) from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotating on-call coverage required for both weekdays and weekends, including additional pediatric call coverage
- Rotating weekend shifts are required
- Block scheduling is available
- No floating between units for this position
- Charting is done using Epic EMR and experience is required
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot be within 50 miles of the facility
- All travelers may be expected to float between all facilities within the state as needed
- Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) is permitted; excessive RTO may impact consideration
- Dress code allows any color scrubs; additional details may apply by department
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Required documents may include Social Security card, driver's license, COVID and flu vaccination records
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric echocardiography
- Pediatric call experience required
- Current required certifications must be held and presented for consideration
- Two supervisory references from the past three years in a comparable specialty/setting are required
- License required if applicable
