Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 26-week Emergency Department assignment in Vermont requiring a compact or VT license and current certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a busy hospital Emergency Department with approximately 14,000 patient visits annually
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 26-week contract assignment
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Weekend and on-call requirements to be determined
• Must have own vehicle for transportation
• All certifications must be in hand at time of consideration
• Requested time off must be submitted before consideration; no more than 10 days accepted during assignment
• Holiday coverage expected as part of assignment
• Orientation is non-billable
• First-time travelers will be considered if requirements are met

Requirements

• Active VT RN or compact RN license required at time of application
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting required
• At least 3 months of prior travel nurse experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Signed supervisory reference from within the past two years required
• Recent, position-specific skills checklist required
• Applicant must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
