Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist for a cardiac cath lab role requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience and current AHA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based cardiac catheterization lab
• Adult cardiovascular patient population
• Procedures include invasive cardiac and vascular imaging, scrubbing, and operating imaging equipment
• Day shifts, 4x10 hours per week
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Assist physicians with radiological imaging, act as scrub assistant, and maintain sterile technique during cardiac and vascular procedures
• Operate imaging equipment, monitor and document procedures in the control room
• Educate patients and families about procedures and expectations
• Support quality and patient safety initiatives and assist with unit organization
• Separation of at least one year required for returning permanent staff
• Allow two weeks for background check and drug screening process
• Start dates may be delayed if compliance requirements are not met on schedule

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiac cath lab or cardiology specialty
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
• Registered ARRT, RCIS, or RCES required, or must obtain RCIS within 18 months of hire
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Fluoroscopy certification required
• Must supply personal radiation badge
• Active state license required if applicable
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
