Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring 18 months of ICU experience and a GA or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU (CCU) unit of a hospital setting
• Unit specializes in cardiac critical care
• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week contract assignment
• Responsible for providing critical care to cardiac patients in the ICU
• Strict holiday coverage and RTO rules apply: no more than 5 days RTO if not near a holiday, and no more than 3 days if RTO falls on or near a holiday
• Only one holiday RTO request is allowed per assignment
• First time travelers welcomed

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 18 months of ICU experience required
• Cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Certifications required: AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Candidates with previous Emory or Houston permanent employment must be separated for at least 1 year (or 18 months if returning to the same facility)
