Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position in Vermont, requiring a VT or compact license and night shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting with assignments in med/surg and telemetry units
• Care for adult, pediatric, orthopedic, and observation patients
• Night shifts with varied scheduling
• Includes responsibilities in critical access hospital, floor nursing, PCU, CCU, SCU, and step-down environments
• Responsibilities include age-specific, direct patient care using the nursing process
• Delegates tasks and provides leadership within the department
• Must comply with all applicable state and federal healthcare regulations and policies
• De-escalation training is required and must be completed or scheduled before orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Active VT or compact state RN license required
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) must be current at contract start or have a booked course by orientation
• Prior experience in med/surg and telemetry settings strongly preferred
• Ability to provide direct patient care to a variety of age groups
