Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring an active IL RN license and flexible floating within Cook County facilities.

Responsibilities

• Work on a Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• Must be willing to float to any Cook County facility as needed, including up to 50 miles from assigned location
• Assignment may include working in a variety of units if floated from primary area
• Floating notification may be given up to 2 hours before a shift
• Strict compliance and documentation procedures must be followed
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days; weekend RTO will not be approved
• No holiday RTO approved and no RTO allowed the day before or after a holiday
• Calling out on a holiday may result in contract cancellation
• Block scheduling and special scheduling requests are not allowed
• If floated outside primary competency, a team-based model will be utilized

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Must provide proof of COVID vaccination; booster is not required
• Compliance with lab work required within 72 hours of offer acceptance
