Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position in Arizona, requiring a compact or AZ RN license and strong emergency nursing certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, totaling 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment duration
• Responsible for caring for a diverse emergency patient population
• Some 24-hour call shifts are required during the assignment
• EMR used is Meditech 6.0; experience with this system is preferred
• Will provide emergency nursing care to a wide range of emergency room patients
• Must be able to respond to high-acuity and fast-paced situations
• Some call shifts are required, each lasting 24 hours
• Up to three shifts may be canceled by the facility over the duration of the contract
• Flu vaccination is mandatory for all clinicians
• RTO requests are limited to 3 days over the assignment period

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license
• Minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
• Additional certifications required: ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS, ATT, and STABLE
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Meditech 6.0 EMR experience preferred
• Cannot have a permanent address within a 100-mile radius of the facility
• Annual flu vaccine required with no exceptions
• No more than 3 days of requested time off during the contract
