Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring BLS certification and a minimum of 1.5 years of relevant L&D experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit with responsibility for maternal and newborn care
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
• Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule
• Float to women’s unit first, then to house as a sitter or task nurse if needed
• No call requirements
• Returning travelers or employees must not have worked at this facility within the past year
• Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
• Role may require assisting in other units or serving as a sitter or task nurse
• Dress code and holiday coverage expectations will be provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Minimum of 1 year and 6 months of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Current BLS from AHA required
• Certifications in ACLS, AWHONN, and NRP required
• ANCC EFM certification required or must pass prestart GNOSIS Exam
• At least one reference covering the entire work history is required for consideration
