Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least one year of specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 42-bed Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30
• Typical patient ratios of 1:5-6 during the day and 1:6-7 at night
• Required to work every other weekend and at least 50% of holidays during the contract
• Floating to other units is required
• Cerner EMR is used; prior Cerner experience is preferred but not required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must be able to work the full term of the assignment and all scheduled shifts
• RTO (requested time off) must be declared at the time of application
• Local candidates are accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced rate
• Must be able to cover 50% of the holidays that fall within the contract
• No pending licenses will be accepted

Requirements

• Active Missouri or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• At least 2 years of total RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• CPI Blue Card required for Behavioral Health units but not required for Med/Surg
• Must submit two professional references
