Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in an acute care setting with night shifts and required Alaska licensure.

Responsibilities

Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care hospital
Patient ratios are 1:1 in labor & delivery and 2:1 in couplet care
Average of 120 births per year
Float to ICU or MedSurg units may be required, and MedSurg experience is necessary
Charting is completed on TruBridge - Evident EMR system
12-hour night shifts
Housing is provided at no charge if needed
Position includes caring for laboring mothers and newborns as well as providing postpartum couplet care
Working in a critical access hospital environment may involve cross-coverage to ICU or MedSurg
Traveler must be willing to work night shifts as scheduled

Requirements

Active Alaska RN license required
Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP
MedSurg experience required
Experience with TruBridge - Evident EMR preferred
