Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of current cath lab experience and required ARRT, BLS, and Fluoroscopy certifications.
Details
- Work in an acute care cardiac cath lab with 5 suites dedicated to coronary, peripheral, vascular, neuro, and EP cases
- Cases are performed with a team of 2 techs and RN support for conscious sedation
- Handles a caseload ranging from 10 to 22 cases per day
- Day shifts with 10-hour shifts, every other weekend required
- First to float within clinical scope as needed
- Rotating call schedule includes one weeknight per week and one weekend per month (Friday evening through Monday morning, subject to change)
- Cerner EMR is used for documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent cath lab experience required
- Active ARRT, BLS, and Fluoroscopy certifications required
- Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, airway management, cardiac drips (such as Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors), and balloon pumps
- Experience with STEMI cases, cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR, and neuro interventions required
- License required if applicable; active state or Compact (NLC) licensure must be in hand at time of consideration
- Pending licenses or certifications will not be accepted
- Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 years
- No first-time travelers will be considered
Additional Information
- Team includes cath lab techs, RNs, and a lead tech responsible for assignments
- This is a STEMI receiving facility
- Duties involve scrubbing, hemodynamic monitoring, and assisting with various interventional procedures
- A radiation badge will be provided
- Candidates may not have been employed directly by the affiliated hospital system within the past year
- Scrub attire is required
