Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 2 years of acute care experience and required ARRT and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

Position is based in an acute care setting on the X Ray-Tech unit
Work involves general X-ray, OR procedures using c-arm, and fluoro studies
Department operates 5 rooms and uses equipment including Toshiba Rad Rooms, Carestream portables, and OEC c-arms
Average volume is approximately 400 scans or studies daily
EMR system is Epic with Fuji Synapse PACS
Ten-hour night shifts with rotation to weekends and holidays as required
No floating or coverage of other areas is required
Scrubs are provided by the facility
Responsibilities include performing diagnostic X-rays and intraoperative imaging using c-arm and fluoro
Department features in-house radiologists and residents 24/7
Department-specific orientation is provided
Weekend, holiday, and call coverage is required per rotation
No IV starts are required in this role
No previous perm or travel experience at any WVU Medicine location within the last 2 years
Travelers may only work within WVU system for up to 1 year before a 2-year break is required
Unexpired driver’s license must be provided for consideration

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting
Current ARRT certification and BLS certification required
Proficiency in operating c-arm and performing fluoro studies
Experience using Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS preferred
West Virginia state license is required if applicable
Radiation badge must be obtained and provided by the traveler’s agency
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
