Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist experienced in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine for a weekday, day-shift position with flexible start times.
Responsibilities
- Work in a nuclear medicine department supporting both inpatient and outpatient cases
- Daily caseload averages 33 PET/CT scans focused primarily on oncology patients
- Perform whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine imaging using 2 PET/CT scanners
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with varied start times between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM
- Optional 10-hour shifts may be available during holiday weeks
- One evening shift and one Saturday shift per month are required
- Federal holidays off
- Experience with IV starts and PACS is necessary
- Candidates are part of a supportive team environment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are not provided; grey scrubs are preferred
- Two professional references are required, with at least one from a manager or formal leader
- RTO for February and March must be submitted with application and built into contract
- Must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing, including urgent completion of Ohio fingerprinting
- Former employees are eligible if away from facility for at least 6 months; current employees are not eligible
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of experience in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine
- Current BLS certification
- ARRT or NMTCB certification required; state license required if applicable
- Experience working with both inpatient and outpatient populations
- Ability to start IV lines and use PACS system
