Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist experienced in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine for a weekday, day-shift position with flexible start times.

Responsibilities

Work in a nuclear medicine department supporting both inpatient and outpatient cases
Daily caseload averages 33 PET/CT scans focused primarily on oncology patients
Perform whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine imaging using 2 PET/CT scanners
8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with varied start times between 6:00 AM and 9:30 AM
Optional 10-hour shifts may be available during holiday weeks
One evening shift and one Saturday shift per month are required
Federal holidays off
Experience with IV starts and PACS is necessary
Candidates are part of a supportive team environment
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Scrubs are not provided; grey scrubs are preferred
Two professional references are required, with at least one from a manager or formal leader
RTO for February and March must be submitted with application and built into contract
Must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing, including urgent completion of Ohio fingerprinting
Former employees are eligible if away from facility for at least 6 months; current employees are not eligible
Locals are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

Minimum requirement of experience in PET/CT and general nuclear medicine
Current BLS certification
ARRT or NMTCB certification required; state license required if applicable
Experience working with both inpatient and outpatient populations
Ability to start IV lines and use PACS system
