Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Cerner experience and multiple advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Adult and pediatric emergency patient population
  • Patient ratio is 1:5
  • Night shift schedule (3x12 hours) with 36 hours on weekends
  • Block scheduling, two shifts per week, or every weekend plus one additional shift are considered
  • Must be willing to work holidays
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Flu vaccine required for employment
  • Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
  • Local candidates within 60 miles will receive local rates

Requirements

  • Active MD or Compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years emergency nursing experience required
  • At least 1 prior travel assignment required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS
  • Skills in conscious sedation, telemetry, triage, and ventilator management required
  • Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
