Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology assignment requiring at least 2 years of IR experience and a valid TN or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a Level I Trauma Center
Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm with on-call requirements
On-call generally includes one weekend per month
Weekend shifts are required as needed
Not open to block scheduling requests
Possible float to similar units or campuses within 20 miles, though infrequent
Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience is preferred
Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures in an acute hospital setting
Must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if assignment includes these dates, or at least 1 of 2 if only two holidays fall within assignment
Returning travelers and former employees must have a minimum one-year separation before being eligible for rehire
Must include vaccination status
No first-time travelers accepted unless over 3 years' recent experience

Requirements

Active RN license from Tennessee or compact state (no pending licensure)
Minimum of 2 years recent Interventional Radiology RN experience required; 3 years is preferred
At least one completed previous travel assignment required
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
Driver's license required for consideration
Current BLS certification required
All time-off requests must be submitted prior to onboarding; will not be accepted after offer
