Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with a compact or TN RN license and prior travel assignment experience.

Responsibilities

• Position based in a hospital Cath Lab within a Level I Trauma Center
• Shift is 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
• Weekend work required as needed
• No on-call scheduled, but this may change during the interview process
• RN may float between similar units or nearby campuses within 20 miles, though this is rare
• Work with cardiovascular teams in a high-acuity Cath Lab setting
• Provide nursing care for cardiac procedures in a fast-paced trauma center
• Holiday coverage required: Must be willing to work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s) if the assignment overlaps, or 1 of 2 holidays if only two fall within the contract period
• All requested time off must be submitted with initial application; changes will not be considered after offer
• Return travelers and former employees must have a 1-year separation before returning
• Vaccination status must be provided
• Facility does not accept first-time travelers or local candidates

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license in hand, compliant with NLC requirements
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience; 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 completed previous travel assignment required
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Driver’s license required for consideration
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility
• No pending licenses accepted
