Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical ICU night shift position requiring ICU experience and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 32-bed MedSurg ICU within a hospital setting
- Patient ratios are 1:2
- Staffed with RNs, nurse externs, and a free-floating charge RN
- Utilizes Philips monitors and Alaris pumps with Meditech documentation
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Floating may be required based on hospital needs
- Perform ICU-level procedures including CRRT, intubations, and line placements
- Expected to adhere to ICARE patient experience standards
- Team includes both experienced RNs and support staff
- Navy blue or black scrubs are required
- First-time travelers may be considered
Requirements
- Active RN license from Tennessee or a Compact state
- Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience required
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required for ICU nurses
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- References required according to state guidelines
