Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an inpatient Rehab position requiring an active IL RN license and 1 year of med-surg experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the inpatient Rehab unit of a hospital
• Patient ratios are 1:5-7
• Night shift with 3x12 hour schedule (18:15-6:45)
• Floating to other units is required
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend
• Documentation in Epic EMR is used
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
• RTO requests must not exceed 7 days and are not allowed during the first or last week of contract
• Block scheduling or special scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
• Locals are not accepted

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of application
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• At least 1 year of med-surg experience required; LTAC or SNF experience accepted
• Previous permanent staff must have 7 month separation from any University of Chicago location
• Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Pending licenses are not accepted
