Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Michigan, requiring strong observation unit experience and an active MI RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg unit caring for oncology, observation, hospice, medical, and surgical patients
• Patient population includes oncology, hospice, observation, and general medical-surgical cases
• Observation unit experience is required
• Assignment located in a hospital setting
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are eligible, but can only complete one 13-week assignment
• No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be approved
• All scheduling requests must be declared prior to consideration
• Assignment may include care of a varied patient population including oncology and hospice cases

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Med/Surg observation unit experience required
• Recent travel work experience is highly preferred
