Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring prior float and cardiac telemetry experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting on a Med/Surg and Telemetry Float Pool
- Float required to Med/Surg, Intermediate Care (IMC), and ED Boarder units as needed
- Care for med/surg, telemetry, cardiac, and ER holding patients
- Shifts are day, 7:00am to 7:30pm, with options for 3x12 or 4x12 schedules
- Every third weekend required
- Responsible for floating to multiple units as assigned, including to the ED for border patients
- Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted
- Must work every third weekend
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
Requirements
- Active RN license from Maryland or Compact state required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- MS/Tele and Cardiac Telemetry experience required
- ER holding experience required
- Travel experience required
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- CPI and NIHSS certifications preferred
