Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position requiring MS/Tele, cardiac tele, and ER holding experience with night shifts available.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Med/Surg and Telemetry Float Pool across multiple inpatient units
- Floating required to Med Surg, Intermediate Care (IMC), and ED Boarder units as needed
- Night shifts available, with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (1900-0730)
- Every third weekend shift is required
- Cardiac telemetry and ER holding patient populations encountered
- Role involves floating to cover patient care needs throughout Med/Surg, Telemetry, IMC, and ED Boarder settings
- Night shift position with every third weekend requirement
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
- Locals within 60 miles are accepted
- Scrub color and dress code details will be confirmed during onboarding
Requirements
- Active RN license in MD or Compact state required
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele and cardiac telemetry experience required
- ER holding (ED Border) experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Successful completion of the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
- CPI and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications preferred
