Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with at least 3 years of inpatient acute care experience and active New Hampshire OT license for a hospital-based position.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital setting
• Work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (4x10 hour shifts)
• Patient population includes adults with arthritis, CVA, dementia, neurological disorders, orthopedic injuries, Parkinson’s, spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries
• Duties include adaptive equipment assessment, community re-entry, cognitive assessment, evaluation, reassessments, and pre-discharge planning
• Epic is used for documentation and experience is required
• Unit orientation is provided by the manager at the clinic
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Travelers must not have any prior employment with any SolutionHealth facility
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at reduced pay rate
• Main responsibilities include patient/family education, discharge planning, injury prevention, and home assessments
• Adherence to safety and injury prevention protocols is expected
• Orientation and support provided by the department manager

Requirements

• Current and valid New Hampshire Occupational Therapist license (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required
• Minimum 3 years of recent inpatient OT experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Professional references required for consideration
