Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit position requiring a MD or compact RN license and 2+ years of Cardiac ICU experience in a level II trauma center.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) within a hospital setting
- Care for coronary care, overflow from Medical ICU, rapid response team (RRT) distress, and other critical cardiac diagnoses
- Patient population includes cardiac ICU and overflow critical care cases
- Uses Epic electronic medical record system
- Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7A/7P, including every other weekend and holidays as needed
- Will provide care to critically ill cardiac and overflow patients from other intensive care areas
- Must be able to work every other weekend and cover holidays according to unit needs
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate except where otherwise specified
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- 2+ years of recent Cardiac ICU experience in a level II trauma center
- Experience in a hospital with at least 500 beds
- Epic EMR experience required
