Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN to float on a Level I trauma team with day/night rotating shifts and a current MA RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work as a float RN in the operating room supporting a Level I trauma hospital
- Day/night rotating shifts are required, with both 4x10 and 4x12 hour schedule options including weekends and call
- On days not needed for night shifts, you will be scheduled for day shifts
- Weekend shifts are 12 hours; weekday shifts may be 8, 10, or 12 hours to meet weekly contracted hours
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Uses Epic for charting and documentation
- Floating is required within the OR float pool across surgical services as needed
- Team supports complex trauma and surgical cases in a high-acuity environment
- Local candidates must live at least 60 miles away from the facility to qualify for standard travel pay
- Public transportation and paid parking are available with daily parking costs typically ranging from $17 to $22
- Timekeeping is managed via UKG/Kronos
Requirements
- Active MA RN license is required at the time of consideration; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
- Minimum of 2 years operating room RN experience
- Level I trauma OR experience is required
- Certifications must be American Heart Association (AHA) only
- Flu vaccination is required; no religious or medical exemptions permitted
- Primary source verification of license/certifications through both NURSYS and the Board of Nursing is required
