Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a rotating Operating Room Float position in a Level I trauma setting requiring active MA licensure.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Operating Room Float unit covering a variety of surgical cases
- Level I trauma center environment
- Rotating day and evening shifts with 4x10 or 4x12 hour blocks, including weekends, call, and 2 weeks of nights
- Day shifts for 4x10: 7a-5:30p M, T, Th, F; 9a-7:30p W
- Day shifts for 4x12: 7a-7:30p M, T, Th, F; 9a-9:30p W
- Evening shifts for 4x10: 1p-11p; for 4x12: 11a-11p
- Weekend shifts are 12 hours, with remaining weekly shifts adjusted to meet contracted hours
- Epic EMR is used and experience is preferred
- Must provide high quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced Level I trauma environment
- Local candidates must permanently reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard rate
- Flu vaccination is mandatory with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Parking not validated; candidates should plan for public transportation or daily paid parking
- First time travelers may apply
- Team-oriented work environment with support from experienced OR staff
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
- A minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience is required
- Level I trauma experience required
- Certifications must be American Heart Association (AHA) approved
- Proof of MA RN licensure required for consideration
- Primary source verification of licensure through Nursys and Board of Nursing required
