Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a VA or compact license and prior travel experience for a rotating schedule assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Patient care involves high-acuity critical cases
• Schedule consists of 3x12-hour shifts with rotating days and nights, every other weekend required
• Option for 4x12-hour shifts available
• Willingness to float to other areas such as CVICU, CVSD, or Cardiac Tele is required
• Uses Epic EMR; training class assigned based on prior Epic experience
• Attendance at designated Epic Clin Doc accelerated or 2-day training is required based on previous Epic experience
• All RTO must be submitted with the initial application; RTO after offer will not be approved
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions require documentation and approval
• Facility is smoke and nicotine free
• COVID vaccination or qualified exemption is required in compliance with CMS guidelines
• If previously employed at this facility, candidates must wait one year before returning as a traveler

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• At least one completed prior travel RN contract
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Statement of Epic experience within the past year required for consideration
