Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with an associate degree and required certifications for weekday shifts performing general nuclear medicine and cardiology studies.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
• General nuclear medicine and cardiology studies are performed
• Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs
• Possible on call responsibilities
• Independently perform all Nuclear Medicine procedures including medication administration and venipuncture
• Coordinate patient flow and departmental activities
• Adhere to strict radiation protection practices
• Maintain equipment and ensure working condition
• Professional judgment and adherence to scope of practice are expected

Requirements

• Associate degree in Allied Health with a major in Nuclear Medicine Technology required
• Active Nuclear Medicine registry required
• ODH licensure required; pending licensure accepted
• CPR certification required
• ARRT RT(R) registry and/or NMTCB required
• No prior experience required, but one year of specialized Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
• Local Radiology candidates within 50 miles are accepted
